Starting this year, a new introductory STEM course becomes operational for grades K-5 with the intent to develop foundational skills and a knowledge base important to STEM. This workshop will provide teachers with tools and methods to engage students in learning how geospatial technologies are used in multiple STEM career fields and occupations. Specifically, teachers will use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools; such as, Google: Tours, My Maps, and Spreadsheets and ArcGIS Online to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present spatial data.
