Introduction to ArcGIS Online

Target audience: Secondary social studies, english, math and science teachers

Participants will receive an introduction to the Esri ArcGIS Online software, use basic skills, and learn to build a Story Map. A GIS professional will come speak with the participants and give a presentation on how they use GIS to solve real-world problems. This is a two-day event.

  • Go to the Story Map Gallery. Find one that is interesting to you. Which did you pick? Was it the content or how it was told?
  • Watch a chapter of the Geospatial Revolution. Which did you pick? What did you find interesting?

Participants will receive a $50 gift card at the completion of the second day. Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided. A $20 deposit is required and will be returned to you at the conclusion of the workshop.
